All packs imported into Australia (all packs are currently imported) must be sampled, tested and carry a certificate of compliance to various standards before they enter the country.

All packs must carry a label that identifies the manufacturer (or brand), the production batch number and the type of nylon (for recycling purposes). If there is a problem with packs purchased, then a grower should record these details (or simply tear the label off) and send it to AWEX with details of the problem. AWEX is then able to resolve the problem with the manufacturer.

The standards that govern Wool Pack quality are available from AWEX. As with other quality systems, it is the responsibility of the organisations requiring the Standards to ensure that they have access to the latest version of the Standards.
