AWEX Online & Internet Explorer 9
Please note that the AWEX Online software does not support Internet Explorer version 9 (IE9) or above. IE9, which is only available on PC’s using Windows 7 or Vista, was released in mid-March 2011 and will trigger a “HTTP Status 400 error” when clicking on any of the AWEX Online reports. Depending on configuration, IE9 may self-install as part of Windows Updates.
- As a workaround, users can either:
Use an alternative browser (Firefox and Chrome, the next two most popular browsers, will both operate successfully).
Firefox: www.mozilla.com/firefox/fx
Chrome: www.google.com/chrome - Uninstall IE9 (see instructions at very bottom). Your PC should automatically revert to IE8 which is compatible.
IE9 will successfully operate alongside both of these alternative browsers (you may prefer to use IE9 for everyday browsing, and Firefox/Chrome for AWEX Online only).
PC’s using Windows XP (or earlier versions) are unaffected as IE9 is unable to be installed on these PC’s.
